Happy New Year from all your friends at
the Hallsville Education Foundation. We are proudly celebrating 10 years of supporting our great Hallsville ISD employees,
teachers, and students. From the conception of the Education Foundation, the primary goal has been to see that Hallsville
students do not suffer from a lowering of expectations or a loss of opportunity as the District loses more and more money
from state appropriations. Reductions in state funding for K-12 education is unacceptable for a community where education
excellence has been quality of education for years.
Most of us have probably asked, "What is Hallsville going
to do about their school funding situation?" What the question should be is, "What are we (as a community)
going to do about our school funding situation?" The Board of Directors of the Education Foundation choose to continue
growing our Foundation to become an engine of excellence, a true difference maker capable of preserving the quality of education
in Hallsville schools. We choose to stand for excellence in the past, present, and future.
The Education Foundation Board of Directors hopes to increase funding for teacher grants and dual credit course scholarships
for the 2011-2012 school year. Our goal is $70,000. Your generosity will enable us to reach our goal of providing
financial support for these programs. You can find a listing and brief summary of funded projects on our website.
We are so thankful for the support that our donors have given to make the dream of an Education Foundation a reality.
We hope that your new year is filled with an abundance of love, joy, and peace.
As you
count your blessings and reflect on 2011, we ask that you consider a gift to the Education Foundation. We value your
support and partnership. We do our best to remember daily that the defining characterstic of how we live is not whether
we value treasure, but what treasure we value the most.
The end of the year is a great time to
make a tax-deductible gift to your favorite non-profit organization. The Hallsville Education Foundation would be honored
if you would consider such a gift to benefit the students of Hallsville schools. You can make
a check payable to Hallsville Education Foundation and mail to: P.O. Box 810, Hallsville, TX 75650. If you
would like to make a donation using your credit card, please contact the Education Foundation Office at 903-668-5994.
We would also be glad to invoice you during the month of January, 2012. Please contact us to determine how you can best
assist the Foundation meet its present and future goals.

attitude when she teaches me. Her comforting smile makes me feel welcome and at ease each day." - B. Samples (Mrs. Wilemon, Mrs. Martin, & Mrs. Mauldin - 4th Grade - Middle School) "Because they're funny
and smart. Also, they help me learn." - R. Bailey (Mrs. Juban - 5th Grade - Middle
