Our 2nd Annual Academic Recognition and Donors Reception was held on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, 5:30PM,
in the Intermediate School Gymnasium. During the reception, the top 10% of the graduating class of 2011 were recognized
for their academic achievement. In addition, each honor graduate recognized a Hallsville ISD educator who has had
a significant positive influence on his or her education and life. The Foundation's 2010 donors and event sponsors,
along with the 2011 Grant Winners were also recognized. Below is a list of the top 10% Academic Scholars and the Distinguished
Educator each student chose to honor:

Academic Recognition & Donors Reception, May 11, 2010
For the first time, the Foundation
honored the top 29 graduating seniors from the Class of 2010 and
each of their favorite teachers. The Foundation's
2009-2010 Annual Drive Donors and Event Sponsors
were also recognized, as well as the 2010 grant winners. The
reception was held Tuesday, May 11,
in the new Intermediate School gymnasium. A vocal presentation of "Wind
Beneath My Wings" was
performed by Ayla Cook and accompanied by Graham VanDusen on guitar. John Wink, Hallsville
High
School Principal, was Master of Ceremonies and presented congratulatory remarks to the top 10%
graduating
seniors, followed by the reception of Distinguished Teachers.
