A lucky contestant, Terry Hendrix, was the winner in the drawing to WIN a 2012 Dodge
Ram 1500 valued at $35,000!  His $5.00 donation to the Education Foundation
put his name in the hat for a drawing held on October 28.  Mr. Hendrix had an 
opportunity to Pass, Punt, and Kick a Field Goal during halftime of the
October 28 game...Hallsville vs. Pine Tree.  However, he fell short in his attempt
to kick the field goal.  Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets to participate in
this fun event.  Special thanks to Richard Traweek of Patterson Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep

NASCAR's David Starr visited Hallsville schools on October 19, 2010, to help kick off Hallsville
EducationFoundation Week.  Mr. Starr gave a full day to support the Foundation's efforts to raise
awareness and contributions that benefit the students and staff of Hallsville schools.  Mr. Starr
is not only a successful NASCAR driver, but also a motivational speaker and an education advocate. 
His straight-forward message to students included getting an education and making dreams happen.

Mr. Starr and his NASCAR truck wrapped up the day by appearing at the Education Foundation's
Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A in Longview and signing autographs.  To learn more about the Foundation,
