Beyond Books...We are Educating the Faces of Tomorrow...Today!

Fall is one of my favorite times of year.  There is a change in the air to encourage us, fall colors appear, football season kicks off, and the return to school means normal routines of life for most families.  This fall, we reflect on a milestone at Hallsville ISD Education Foundation as we celebrate 10 years.  For 10 years, funds donated to the Education Foundation have changed student lives in Hallsville Schools and have made a positive ever-lasting difference for them.  Supporting the success of our Hallsville students is very important to all of us. Because I know you share this belief, I want to tell you about a very special opportunity.

As you know, sustaining excellent educational programs and services requires technology, laboratories, cultural experiences, up-to-date occupational and technical equipment, resource materials and primarily, outstanding teachers.  Meeting the current and future educational needs of all students so that they may be productive citizens of tomorrow, requires a substantial investment.

In the state’s conservative economy, most Texas school districts no longer have discretionary funds for services and activities that exceed minimum needs and requirements.  This situation calls for finding new resources to assist in building and increasing excellence.  The Hallsville ISD Education Foundation was created to provide funding to support programs and activities for students that are beyond the budgetary means of the school district.  Donations will remain in the school district and, therefore, benefit you and the entire community through an investment in education and quality of life.

The 10th Annual Fund Drive Campaign will begin in October and will offer a unique opportunity to a small group of selected supporters to become
Hallsville ISD Education Foundation Partners.  This is our special invitation for you to join us in enhancing educational opportunities for Hallsville students.
Our goal this year is $70,000.  For your convenience, enclosed is a 2011-2012 Annual Drive remittance envelope.  Our deadline for the 10th Annual Fund Drive Campaign is January 31, 2012.  In the event you have depleted your 2011 fund for charitable giving, we would be pleased to accept your gift as a pledge with payment commencing after January 1, 2012.

Your INVESTMENT allows the Hallsville ISD Education Foundation to provide equipment and tools that will make a lifetime difference for students.  Your gift to the 10th Annual Fund Drive will help our student’s immeasurably and give you pride knowing you made a difference in a student’s life.

Gratefully,
Brad Bunt
Annual Drive Chairperson

P.S.  Hallsville ISD received an “Exemplary” rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2009-2010 school year and every campus in Hallsville ISD was rated “Exemplary!”  This year, we have the ambitious goal of making each of our campuses Exemplary and your generous donation
will make the difference!

WHY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION
  • Opportunity to be recognized in the community as a supporter of HISD and the Education Foundation.  Our strong donor recognition program will generate a positive public opinion and appreciation of your contribution.
  • Opportunity to benefit HISD students by helping to fund innovative classroom programs that enhance learning.
  • Opportunity to see your investment at work when grants are awarded this spring.
  • Opportunity to become the partner of a highly regarded school district that has demonstrated academic success and strives for excellence.
  • Opportunity to provide a means to students to be better prepared to become part of the local workforce.  Students will be better trained to have more skills to put to immediate use.
  • Opportunity to support HISD in its quest for academic excellence, thereby, making our community an attractive place to live, work, and attend school.

We would sincerely appreciate your support!

Now...it's up to you!
