Due to the success of the 2006-2007 Annual Fund Drive, we were able to award $15,370.30 in grants to 26 teachers.

Thank you for touching tomorrow...today!

With the beginning of this new year, HISD renews its obligation to the academic achievement of students.  As more of our revenue is taken by the state through the Robin Hood Plan, it becomes more and more vital that Hallsville students do not suffer from a lowering of academic expectations.  (Last year alone, HISD was required to send $4.1 million dollars to the state through Robin Hood.)

For this reason, the Hallsville ISD Education Foundation was created four years ago.  During the past six years, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students have benefited from the awarding of classroom grants.  Grants have been awarded on every campus.  These grants, which were the result of generous donations from concerned patrons, have greatly helped to expand our students' horizons.  Through the generosity of our donors, HISD students are afforded academic opportunities they would not otherwise enjoy.  The teachers and students of HISD are most appreciative for the generosity and support of our donors.

If you wish to help our teachers and students achieve their dreams, I would like to offer you the opportunity to join us in supporting this effort.  The Foundation is now hosting the 2007 - 2008 Annual Drive with a goal of $35,000.  Click on the link below to print out a donor card.  You will be publicly recognized and honored for your contribution at our Donor Reception in May.

Because the Foundation is a 501(c) 3 organization, all contributions are tax deductible.  Your contribution can help our students "Touch Tomorrow Today"!

Please feel free to visit us to see your dollars at work.  You are always welcome!

Sincerely,

Neta Craig, Executive Director

WHY YOU SHOULD SUPPORT OUR ANNUAL DRIVE
  • Opportunity to be recognized in the community as a supporter of HISD and the Education Foundation.  Our strong donor recognition program will generate a positive public opinion and appreciation of your contribution.
  • Opportunity to benefit HISD students by helping to fund innovative classroom programs that enhance learning.
  • Opportunity to see your investment at work when grants are awarded this spring.
  • Opportunity to become the partner of a highly regarded school district that has demonstrated academic success and strives for excellence.
  • Opportunity to provide a means to students to be better prepared to become part of the local workforce.  Students will be better trained to have more skills to put to immediate use.
  • Opportunity to support HISD in its quest for academic excellence, thereby, making our community an attractive place to live, work, and attend school.

We would sincerely appreciate your support!

Now...it's up to you!
