Hallsville Education Foundation

Why the Hallsville ISD Education Foundation?
The funding and extra resources for the students and teachers
helps to cover the gap between what HISD's school budget
covers and what is needed to ensure the academic success
of Hallsville students.

I'm sure most of us in the Hallsville community have been asked, "What is Hallsville
going to do about their school funding situation?"  What the question should be is,
"What are WE going to do about our school funding situation?"
Indeed, what are WE going to do?  The Education Foundation is a solution,
if we choose to make it so.

The Hallsville Education Foundation stands for excellence
in the PAST, PRESENT, and FUTURE.  We invite you to stand with us!

***************************************************

The Hallsville Education Foundation was created to discover resources to fund educational projects that otherwise would not be funded.  Throughout it's life, the Foundation has channeled thousands of local dollars back into the HISD schools, all for the benefit of students.  Without the Foundation, many critical experiences would not be available to the children of Hallsville.

What we do:
Dual Credit Scholarships - academic assistance for dual credit students.
High School students can take up to 36 college hours while in High School.
In addition, aid to Career & Technical Education students who are obtaining post-secondary certifications
so they can begin careers right after High School. These programs (i.e. floriculture, cosmetology) address
the considerable need for technical and skilled workers in the community.

"Thanks for the dual credit scholarship.  Thanks for a chance
at a better future starting college with 24 hours."
           - Skylyn Potts, scholarship recipient

Excellence in Education - showcasing the top 10% graduating seniors and
the distinguished educators who made a difference in their lives.

School Enrichment - enhance the classroom experience by providing
grants to teachers.
